Umbra Anima is Melissa Francis' debut original album. A mix of jazz, blues, dark funk, and electronics, Mel's sound is unique, pairing minimalist instrumentals with soaring soul-driven vocals inspired by Jeff Buckley and Beth Gibbons. The album was recently independently reviewed by Forte Magazine (5 stars), with 2 tracks winning and also placing in Melbourne radio competitions for new music.
